Blind Fate: Edo no Yami ✨ – Dive into a world that mixes Sci-Fi and ancient tradition. Slash through robots with a trusty katana, use hi-tech implants to navigate the surroundings, dodge enemy attacks, and land devastating finishers. Reclaim the past following the way of the Japanese samurai in the fantastic period of New Edo. Been following this project for looong time (played Demo and Prologue). The game is not perfect and there’s room for improvement in some areas, but man, it is a much needed fresh take on the genre. I expect some people to complain about difficulty, and the game is difficult, but it also gives you all the means to overcome difficulties, enemies, bosses, etc. All you need to do is pay attention to all the details (dialogues, descriptions, tutorial messages, etc.). I saw people complaining about the second boss; do you even look around game environments? There are usually several ways to beat enemies, just look around ffs lol Action packed, interesting story, great atmosphere, nice action music. What else can I say? Blind Fate: Edo no Yami 🕹️
There is so much stuff in this game! Beautiful environments, interesting gameplay, a perfect soundtrack, and an intriguing story told in a unique style. There are some films in which characters use their senses or other systems to see enemies, secret passages and hidden objects. We finally see this very interesting ability in a game as well and it´s beautifully rendered! I was hit a few times because I forgot that the main character is blind and the game wants you to be alert at all times during both combat and exploration. Every enemy is a challenge and dying is never unfair Also the story line has to be triggered per discussion, kind of annoying better to just wait a few seconds and have them exchange words in a timely manner. I sat there wondering why the other guy wouldn’t talk until I realized I needed to click the mouse to move forward in the discussion ? If you get to the Dojo scene and asked to use your sensor to detect the enemies, switch between all three sensors, its needed to see all the enemies in separate sensor habitats. I still give it a thumbs up, the game seems pretty sweet and continuity follows through as promised. Edit: So back after a couple hours and there seems to be something missing in this game. As mentioned earlier, its that “Pretty” kind of game, but there’s something drab ab out the combat system. There is nothing suave or swift about your attacks/swings, but more of a draw back and hesitation between swings, quite annoying really. The XP system still hasn’t identified itself for a purpose, and the talent tree has no explanation. No idea how to unlock skills for that matter.
