To be honest, once you get a couple of mods you can easily find on the PC Gaming Wiki entry for this game and then put it in compatibility for Windows XP Service Pack 3, you shouldn’t have any more of the issues people tend to have with it. But beyond that, the actual content of the game is amazing. The story, characters, gameplay… To be honest I do prefer the PS2 version and wish this version was a whole lot more faithful to it than it already is, or allowed some kind of option to enable the old aesthetic as well as was built off of the complete PS2 version instead of some prototype to ease up on all the issues, but oh well. I give this port a 4/5. Missing point cause of issues and personal preference, but aside from that, big points for quality and some quality of life things like the ability to know where collectibles are and actually having peripheral vision.
‘Bully: Scholarship Edition’ is a third person beat’em up game where you play as Jimmy Hopkins, a troubled 15 year old kid sent to the worst boarding school in education history. Developed by the the creators of the famous series ‘Grand Theft Auto’, Rockstar Games tried something new in 2008 by bringing to light a less violent third person game called ‘Bully: Scholarship Edition’, a game that instead of focusing on the world of crime a guns, focused more on the mischief and pranks revolving around a teenage boy living through his adolescent years. But here’s the funny thing, the game is called “Bully” but you’re not really a bully per se. You’re more like a bully towards the bullies, looking out for the nerds by fighting their fights and getting their textbooks back while doing the more delinquent stuff to the jocks and snobby preppies like shooting a slingshot at them or chucking a stink bomb their way. It was a super fun game back in 2008 and opened a flood gate for developers to create games that followed this sort of theme but unfortunately the gate stayed dry as it’s been 14 years now and still there hasn’t been a game quite like ‘Bully: Scholarship Edition’. Not only that but to add salt to the wound, the game doesn’t run well (if at all) on most modern day systems
